In 1628 the fort Nieuweschans was built to defend the borderland with Germany. This national monument is one of the oldest buildings (±1660) of the town and is situated in the protected town-centre, where various monumental buildings breathe the historic atmosphere.Accommodations and prices
There are two comfortable, ancient style renovated guestrooms, each with its own entrance, guaranteeing privacy.
The “Opkamer” has a surprisingly spacious sitting-/bedroom, a luxury bathroom with double wash basin, separate shower, toilet and whirlpool. It has a connecting door to a romantic patio where guests can have breakfast when the weather is lovely.
Price € 110,- per night for 2 persons, including breakfast.
The “Schouwkamer” has a view on the former garrison church, and has a roomy sitting-/bedroom, and a luxury bathroom with double wash basin, shower and toilet.
€ 95,- per night for 2 persons, including breakfast.
The host will prepare a generous three course dinner on request.
Breakfast and diner are served in the room en suite at the front of the house.
