Manoir Ormille

Bomal-Sur-Ourthe

The original house on this area of 4200 m2, known as Terre du Petit Chateau, was built in 1890. Around 1925 the villa was extended, realising the appearance of a small castle. The interior includes Art Nouveau and Art Deco elements. Recently the country house was completely renovated, thus creating five very special guest rooms and one apartment. The original park with pleasure and vegetable gardens, has been converted into a fragmented park with a French, an English and a classical garden. Remarkable are the ancient statues and garden decorations of fauns, goblets and arcades in blue freestone. The park contains some buildings (such as the orangery, a studio and a garden house with pointed tower) and several ancient indigenous and exotic trees, fir trees, plants and shrubs. For some time, the park has been part of the Open Gardens in Belgium and can be visited by appointment from May to October and especially on the open garden weekends of 25 and 30 and June 26 and July 31.
