This old inn, built around 1800 on the banks of the river Schelde, was in 2006 still a shipyard. Now this magnificent historical building is in use as a delightful hotel-restaurant. It took the owners a year of intensive renovation before the doors of the Auberge could be opened. During the renovation the accent was put mainly on preserving and honoring all historical details as much as possible, whilst modern comfort was brought in. And indeed! When you come into the inn you are not only treated to a piece of exquisite gastronomy, but also the wonderful combination of the old and the new.Accommodation and prices
There are 10 luxurious and very well equipped hotel rooms. The rooms have a warm ambiance and are equipped with all sorts of contemporary facilities as well as a private bathroom.
Being a guest in the restaurant, it is easy to understand the link to the name of the Auberge. The owner has been a wholesaler in first class meat for 30 years and quality is written here with a capital Q. Obviously their specialty is the best entrecote and cote de boeuf in the vicinity.
In the lobby drinks are served before dinner and, when the weather situation allows it, a beautiful terrace and garden are at one’s disposal.
Guests who have spent the night in one of the rooms at the inn can take place in the restaurant again the next morning, however this time for an extensive breakfast.
From Euro 59.00 to Euro 65.00 per person, breakfast included

KluisbergenAlong the banks of the Schelde one can take long walks, ride a bike or just chill. Kortrijk, Oudenaarde, Brakel, Ninove and Kluisbos are in the neighborhood. One can shop there, visit the market and breath in the local culture, and for the sport lovers there are plenty of possibilities in the environs.
