Kingston's Cottage
Ohé en Laak - Limburg
Kingston's Cottage was built in the early 1900’s and is known in the village as “De Veldwachterswoning” (The Constable’s residence). As a constable earned too little to make a living in those days, he used to be a farmer as well. The hayloft of the farm was recently renovated to become a wonderful Bead & Breakfast with three beautiful guestrooms. Downstairs in the former barn is an intimate Tearoom, which is open during the weekends.Accommodation and prices
On the first floor are three very luxurious and fully equipped double rooms. As for the design the hostess was inspired by England. Each room has a private bathroom with a nostalgic bathtub, whirlpool and/or double shower, comfortable electric adjustable box spring beds, television, dvd-player, wireless internet connection, small refrigerator, and tea/coffee making facilities.
Guests are welcomed in the tearoom/sitting room with freshly brewed tea and pastry. Breakfast is served here as well, with fresh warm buns and home-made jam. Guests may choose from a Burgundian Limburg breakfast or a real English breakfast with bacon and eggs, with as many biological and regional products as possible. Herbal tea made of freshly picked herbs like mint, sage or lemon balm is also on the menu. Weather permitting breakfast can be enjoyed out on the terrace, and it is possible to have breakfast served in the room on request. Instead of breakfast, early birds may want to have a pick nick basket arranged. In the large garden are various nice spots to sit back and relax.
Guests may also use the snooker table.
The fire place is the right place to read a book or play a game.
From € 99.00 to € 175.00 per room, including breakfast.
