Huis ter Maarsch

Onstwedde

The history of the Hamlet ter Maarsch dates back to the 15th century. In 1721 a clergyman and a daughter of the Maarsingh family founded the farm 'Huis ter Maarsch". Impressive old oak rafters support the roof of the barn where a barn-owl makes his home every year. Until recently, Huis ter Maarsch was strictly used for agricultural purposes. Nowadays, Edward van Vugt, who is a master craftsman in carpentry, and Ingrid Aarsman produce exclusive wood interiors on the premises.
