Bettina is a kindergarten teacher and Jo worked for a transport company. Together they have two beautiful children, and they always dreamed of opening a B&B together. In the former servants' quarters dating back to 1763, belonging to Gijzegem Castle in their hometown of Aalst, they found their dream location. After the necessary restoration work, they opened the doors of their B&B Hof Ter Koningen in March 2020, featuring three delightful guest rooms.
All rooms are located on the ground floor, each with a separate living and sleeping area, very comfortable beds, every possible amenity, and a private terrace. The Keizerkamer (Emperor's Room) has a bathroom with a shower and panoramic sauna. The charming Prinsenkamer (Prince's Room) has a bathroom with a shower, and the Voil Jeanettenkamer (Voil Jeanette Room) has a bathroom with a rain shower.
Relax in the large garden with a local beer or a Southern Italian wine – a wide selection of both is available. The fresh breakfast, served in the charming breakfast room, features a variety of regional products.
Your B&B is nestled in a green setting, 2 km from Aalst city center, making it the perfect base for exploring Aalst and the surrounding area. The train station, city park, Utopia, the city museum, and all of Aalst's other highlights are all within easy reach. The surrounding area is perfect for walking and cycling.
