The Eremyten Hof is located in the center of the charming town of Evergem. The village has a world famous stud-farm and plenty of possibilities for hiking and biking. The beautiful city of Gent is only 5 km. Already in the 18th century the town of Evergem built a reputation with the textile industry. The architecture of that age is today’s cultural heritage. The historical center has beautiful shops, restaurants, terraces and pubs. History Officially the history of this majestic country-house goes back to the end of the 18th century. Parts of the house are at least 150 years old. In the past the Eremyten Hof (which means the Court of the Monks) the farmstead of the Eremyte-Augustin Fathers. After a thorough renovation, whereby modern comfort was created with respect for the authentic details, the country-house could receive her guests. The grounds, which is 18.000 m2, has a pond and is a marvelous example of English landscaping. Most of the trees are more than 150 years old.
