There is only one guest suite here, and it deserves a mention. Your suite is located in the former practice room of this old doctor's house. This means the comfortable brass four-poster bed is in the old practice room, and you shower in the former pharmacy under a hundred-year-old copper rain shower. For making a delicious cup of tea, you'll find everything you need in the old laboratory. There you'll also find a refrigerator and induction stove.
The rooms are furnished with furniture, objects, and portraits from the family home and the old doctor's office, and your suite overlooks the accompanying medicinal garden. For sunny days, you have your own private terrace, and the medicinal garden is also accessible to guests. Everything to ensure you have everything you need.
Krommenie, in the heart of the Zaan region, is a charming village with a rich history dating back to the 14th century. During its Golden Age, Krommenie was the center of sailcloth manufacturing in the Netherlands. Along the main streets, the characteristic green Zaan houses with their ornate facades bear witness to this rich past. From the suite, you can walk straight into the town center with shops, restaurants, pubs, and the beautiful Agathepark. The relaxed village atmosphere and the surrounding waters invite you to walk, cycle, and canoe – the picturesque Krommeniedijk leads to the lakes behind the village. From Huis te Krommenie, you can also easily make trips to Amsterdam, the Zaanse Schans, and the coast.
