The Bed & Breakfast has 4 rooms. Each room has a private bathroom. On the ground floor are the Vaartroom and the Polderroom. In the rooms on the ground floor dogs are allowed on request. The lovely Polderroom looks out over the polder and has a private terrace. The other 2 rooms are on the first floor. The very spacious Vlietzichtroom has a sitting area and two extra beds and is therefore very suitable as a family room.
On the ground floor are the cozy kitchen and breakfast room. Here guests can read a book or have a drink from the fully stocked fridge. Coffee and tea can also be made here.
There are also two detached holiday cottages. They provide all possible modern comfort and can accommodate up to four and up to five people.
Weather permitting guests can of course stay in the garden with a stunning view of the water and/or the polder. Whisper boats are in front of the door and can be rented on the spot.
Mid Delfland, a paradise for nature lovers. Close to cities like The Hague, Rotterdam and Delft, in the middle of the Randstad, a green world can be discovered where you can cycle or walk through an ancient agricultural landscape. Authentic farms, protected townscapes, the rare low peatland of the Vlietlanden, green polders which together form the unique Mid Delfland. . . Here birds are singing, frogs are croaking in the ditches and cows in the pasture are staring at the passers-by. Bed & Breakfast Rechthuis van Zouteveen rents out boats driven by electric motors. This is the best way to enjoy the surrounding quiet scenery. Playing golf is possible in the direct area of Golf Course Delfland (pay and play course), Golfclub Broekpolder (18 holes) and the Rijswijk Golf Club (18 holes).
History The Rechthuis van Zouteveen (as the town was called then) dates from 1651 and was originally used as a courthouse (rechthuis). For administrative matters the people of Zouteveen had to turn to the Vlaardingsekade. Right on the Vlaardingsevaart was (and still is) 't Schouw or Rechthuis van Zouteveen. It was actually a farm and inn where a room was designed as an office for registration. After an extensive renovation, where all original features of this monument were preserved, Bed & Breakfast Rechthuis van Zouteveen was opened on July 1, 2011.During the weekeends minimum stay 2 nights

Geboekt voor twee dagen in B&B Rechthuis van Zoutveen. Mooie locatie. Gezellig huisje, De Vlaardingse Schouw. Helaas, in de eerste nacht ziek geworden en positief getest op Corona. Ons ontbijt werd in de het huisje gebracht. Daarna naar huis. Na overleg met Marja is een goede oplossing gevonden voor het vroegtijdig vertrek. T.z.t. zullen we zeker terug komen.
Het voormalig gemaal is een prachtig vakantie verblijf. Schoon, alles aanwezig. Technisch mankement was snel,opgelost. Een aanrader !.
