Kasteel Ophemert is the ultimate place for weddings, festivities and gatherings.
It is also a unique Bed & Breakfast, with four double rooms in the castle and a loft for four guests in the carriage house. The rooms have been tastefully decorated and have a view of the beautiful castle garden.
For common use by the guests, there are a library, (sunbathing) patios, barbeques and, of course, the large garden with many old trees.
The Betuwe is a great place for walking and cycling along the floodplains of the Waal River, on dikes and along the picturesque villages, forts and castles. Taking a boat tour is also very worthwhile. s-Hertogenbosch, Utrecht, Nijmegen and Arnhem are nearby.
HistoryKasteel Ophemert in its original form dates back to 1265.
