Rozoy-sur-Serre probably means nothing to you, but once you have checked in to this special mansion you will not easily forget the name. By the way, the trip goes to Northern France - about a 2.5-hour drive from Utrecht - where you will come across this village on the edge of the French Ardennes. There are five nice rooms. Large, bright and colorful, with their own entrance to guarantee privacy and equipped with all modern comforts. Which means spacious bathrooms with a walk-in shower, beds where you wake up rested, TV and WiFi. Coffee and tea making facilities are also standard. Thanks to the large windows, you have a great view of the old part of the village. To ensure that you do not wake up from the rising sun, every room has electric shutters. The room on the ground floor is also suitable for guests with reduced mobility.
Breakfast is served in the lounge. With bread and croissants from the local baker who still bakes traditionally in his wood oven, fruit juice, homemade jams, cheese, cold cuts, yogurt and good coffee and tea. If you want to join us for dinner in the evening, you can count on a delicious and honest dinner. Host Jan, who used to be chef at a renowned restaurant in the village, stands behind the stove and cooks with fresh regional products from the season.
Weather permitting, breakfast and dinner are served in the private courtyard.
For enthusiasts, there is a jacuzzi in the wonderfully large garden with fruit trees, among other things. You can lounge in the covered lounge or on one of the terraces.
Au Chapitre is located in the old core of the village - called the 'chapitre'. The area is rural and the hills of the Thiérache, with varying villages and endless views, flow into the French Ardennes, which are ideal for walking, cycling and enjoying the tranquility. For centuries, agriculture and livestock have defined the image of meadows separated by rivers and low hedges, giving the whole a lovely appearance. Champagne city Reims is nearby and well worth a visit.
HistoryThis former notary's house is several centuries old. The current owners, a Dutch couple, signed for the renovation. The aim was to allow the old atmosphere of the house to coexist with the comfort of the 21st century.
Wij hebben enorm genoten van het paas arrangement 2024 in een sfeervol huis gerund door gepassioneerde gastvrouw en gastheer die tevens een uitstekende kok is. Uitstekende prijs kwaliteit verhouding!
We hebben een top paasweekend gehad in zeer goed gezelschap.!Lekker eten van eerste tot laatste dag.Zeer mooie kamer..Je kan er mooie wandelingen doen in rustige omgeving.Jan en monique zijn geboren om mensen te verwennen.We komen zeker nog terug.
Wij mochten met oud en nieuw gebruik maken van de paarse kamer, met onze hond Daantje. Wat een feestje was dit en wat een perfect onthaal en gastvrijheid staat hoog in hun vaandel. Ook waren de andere gasten (allemaal met hun viervoeter) gezellig en we hebben ons prima vermaakt. We zijn oudejaarsdag naar Reims geweest en daar de prachtige kathedraal bekeken en natuurlijk een glas champagne gedronken op een terras. Kortom een erg leuke ervaring!
Geweldige ontvangst, de klant staat centraal. Mooi oud pand wat zeer goed warm te stoken is. De eigenaar/keukenprins maakt mooie maaltijden en hapjes. Mooie prijs kwaliteit vethouding. Een topper!!
Prachtige B&B in een vergeten streek van Frankrijk : La Thiérache. Alles is top, mooi huis, aangename en goed uitgeruste kamers, uitgebreid ontbijt met een eitje ook de table d’hôtes is lekker. Gerund door een heel enthousiast koppel. Een adresje om te koesteren.
Ervaar in de rustieke omgeving van het oude stadje Rozoy de perfecte gastvrijheid van Jan en Monique. De kamers zijn ruim en sfeervol ingericht.Jan is een prima kok en beiden kennen de omgeving door en door. Wie niet te ver wil rijden en toch de volmaakte rust zoekt hoeft niet langer te zoeken.
