At the entrance to the largest forest in Friesland, in an oasis of peace, you will find B&B Rijsterbosch with three luxurious rooms for two people each.
Air conditioning, full bathroom with toiletries, TV and coffee and tea making facilities are standard. Room Esdoorn, which is on the ground floor and accessible to wheelchair users, has a separate entrance. The other two rooms are on the first floor and accessible via the spacious staircase. From room Eik you have a beautiful view of the Rijsterbos. The luxurious Beuk suite spans the entire width of the building and has a spacious lounge in addition to the sleeping area.
You can enjoy the copious breakfast in the lovely breakfast room on the ground floor. It consists of two courses served at the table, including yoghurt with granola, fruit salad, homemade jam, rolls from the own oven, various types of charcuterie and cheeses, coffee rolls and more. There is also fresh coffee, an assortment of teas and smoothies.
Those who don't want to leave the house in the evening can also taste the Belgian cuisine of the house. Three courses are freshly prepared every day with local products prepared with a Flemish touch. Lovers of a good glass of wine or beer can choose from a wine and beer list specially compiled for this house.
Rijs is located southeast of Stavoren and Bakhuizen, on the Oudemirdum - Hemelum road and close to the IJsselmeer. With a location right next to the largest forest in Friesland, you are assured of an abundance of nature and a multitude of walking and cycling routes. But Friesland Waterland can also be discovered from your B&B, where boats - with or without skipper - and SUP boards can be rented nearby. Several museums await culture lovers.
