Amma Erna - a stone's throw from the coast - is located in a mansion and has only two B&B rooms. But there may be. The atmosphere is serene and calming. With many shades of white in a sea of space. Food plays an important role in this house and that is why the open kitchen has a central place. At 9.30 am brunch is served with products from our own garden or from local organic farmers. To complete the great enjoyment there is a shared lounge, a garden and terrace and a Dutchtub. There is air conditioning for the hottest days of the year.
The B&B is not suitable for children under 12 years old.
Nieuwkapelle is a sub-municipality of Diksmuide and is located a stone's throw from the Belgian coast, in the middle of the Westhoek. The B&B is located in a quiet street just 10 minutes from the Grote Markt. Peace and nature are abundant in the area and cyclists and walkers can indulge themselves here. Those looking for the perfect base to explore the war past have come to the right place with Diksmuide around the corner and Ypres and Poperinge nearby. You can go shopping and sniff culture in Nieuwpoort, Veurne, Lille, Kortrijk and Ostend.
HistoryThe buildings of the then Matsaert brewery and the associated house are one of the few pre-war entities of Diksmuide. The current owners were already fond of this beautiful mansion as a child. When they were asked to think about a new destination for the brewery, they didn't have to think twice. Under their direction, the whole was given a thorough renovation and the garden was also taken care of. The result may be more than that. Whoever is a guest here will not be short of anything.
