De Sint-Antoniushoeve

Awarded 5 star comfort rating

This authentic barn has been beautifully converted into a complete, luxurious and attractive holiday home that can be perfectly divided into two separate units. As a result, a group of six to eight guests can comfortably stay here, while there is just as easily room for a maximum of sixteen guests.

The diligent work and investments of the owners were rewarded with a 5 star comfort rating and with good reason! Just imagine: the eight bedrooms all have air conditioning and TV - the linen is of course included - and the eight bathrooms are equipped with shower, toilet and sink. The two kitchens - one for each unit - are equipped with all the necessary comfort (ceramic hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave), the two living rooms with a homely sitting area and TV and the two terraces, complete with furniture and barbecue, out over the Zonnebeke fields.

This holiday home in the Westhoek is also an ideal resting point for the disabled. The ground floor is fully wheelchair accessible and there is a bedroom with a turning circle of 1.5 meters.

Fourteen scooters can be rented on site to explore the area.

History

Speaking of history… In WWI, the British kept their artillery in the barn of this historic homestead and, for some miraculous reason, renamed it Tokyo Farm. After the war, the barn was demolished and then rebuilt and put into use as a pigsty. When Mieke and Yves discovered the Sint-Antoniushoeve, the outbuilding had been empty for 20 years. Nevertheless, it was love at first sight and their hands itched to breathe new life into the barn and transform it into an idyllic holiday home. Built in the typical farmhouse brick and with a gable roof in tiles, so that the enjoyment can begin even before you have even taken a step over the threshold.
