Château de Gaillac is the remainder of a former grand castle.
It consists of a medieval tower, with the living and sleeping quarters accessible from a central stairwell. The three bedrooms and two bathrooms can accommodate at least seven guests. The kitchen is equipped with every possible convenience and the living room is cosily furnished.
There is also a closed and fenced private pool.
Château de Gaillac is located in a hamlet on the Lot River, about 3 kms from the touristy and lively village of Cajarc. The area is hilly and is ideal for hiking. Larger towns nearby are Figeac and Villefranche de Rouergue.
HistoryFew details are known about the history of this castle, although it is certain that its current shape is a remnant from a large castle dating back to the Middle Ages.
