Dining is a pleasure in this house. Which is no surprise. In this building, the owners first ran a restaurant which was awarded a Michelin star. Non-guests can also make reservations for dinner.
Guests can choose from two comfortable rooms equipped with all comforts, including a private bathroom.
Surroundings
Het Oude Jachthuis is situated in the middle of farmlands and 2 km from the Dwingelderveld National Park, the largest wet heathland in Europe. There are several sculpture gardens in the vicinity as well as museums (Drenthe History Museum and the Groninger Museum).
History
This 350 year-old historic farm, formerly a farm, an inn and a cafe, has been a social meeting place for centuries. In the 60s, the parents of the current master of the house bought the farm and converted the cafe into a restaurant.

Ellen van Doesburg and her husband Arnold have always been passionate about combining gourmet cuisine with hospitality. Although her husband passed away in 2021, Ellen is continuing their dream with passion and love. She is already looking forward to welcoming you!
