The garden room has a sleeping quarter, decorated with photo’s from the Dutch photographer Danielle Reizevoort, a modern bathroom with a walk-in shower and a separate toilet. The sleeping quarter has a double-door entrance to the typical Amsterdam style inner garden with lounge facility. With the still original ceilings from the early 1700’s this room is a grand beginning of your Amsterdam experience.
The Canal room, also decorated by the Dutch photographer Danielle Reizevoort, has a sleeping quarter, a modern bathroom with a walk-in shower and a separate toilet. Entering the room you will find two windows with a view on the canal, a typical canal boat, the Amsterdam Hermitage museum and most likely one or more bicycles making you immediately feel at home in this bustling city.
The garden lounge is designated as one of the official art project spaces of Amsterdam under the umbrella of In4Art and hosts art works of some of the most promising upcoming European artists. Imagine sipping at a glass of splendid white wine, a Cava or a full bodied red wine after your day of exploring Amsterdam in our project space surrounded by inspiring art work.
In spring and summer the city garden is the ideal place to exchange stories until the sun sets. Within the garden you will find peace and quietness away from the ever lively city just outside of the front door.
The B&B is located on a quiet part of the canal in the center of Amsterdam, within minute’s distance from the Rembrandts square and therefore all the richness Amsterdam can offer is within a walking distance.
HistoryL’atelier is located in one of the national monuments within the UNESCO world heritage canal ring area of Amsterdam. The building originates from 1735 and has a long history of people living, working and learning. Situated at the heart of the former Jewish quarter in Amsterdam, during the first 180 years, housing was its main function. From 1905 up to 1923 there was a Jewish primary and fröbel school, whereby the fröbel school continued up to 1943. After 1945 various activities took place amongst which an atelier producing pajama’s. It lasted up to 1979 before it became a house again. The current owners and your hosts at L’atelier have with great love and care and in close conjunction with the national monument authorities renovated the building in 2016 to reflect and honor as much as possible its 283 years of history.
