In a very old canal house on the carless Amsterdam Herenmarkt, the entire basement is furnished as a guesthouse for two people. In addition to lots of light and space, they also have plenty of privacy and a beautiful view of the canal with the houseboats.
The apartment has its own entrance that leads to the entrance hall with a table and benches; there is also a refrigerator and coffee and tea making facilities. In the living room / bedroom, with lots of natural stone and wood, two comfortable single beds await that can also be made up as one large bed, a lovely sitting area and a table with a view of old Amsterdam. There is also a fireplace for cold days.
The bathroom has a sink and large shower and the toilet in separate.
The apartment is located on a carless square with many old oak trees and overlooks the Brouwersgracht. The Haarlemmerstraat, with its many nice little shops, cafés and restaurants, is just around the corner. As well as the Central Station, the Jordaan and the 9 Streets and the Anne Frank House.
HistoryThis beautiful canal house with stepped gable is centuries old and was beautifully renovated by the owners while all authentic elements remained intact.
Afgelopen weekend hebben we een hier een heel fijn verblijf gehad. De Herenmarkt 26 ligt +/- 10 minuten lopen van het Centraal Station, aan de rand van de Grachtengordel West. Het centrum en de Jordaan liggen op loopafstand. Daarom is het een prachtige uitvalbasis voor veel bezienswaardigheden, restaurants en cafés. Ondanks dat het heel centraal ligt, hebben we ons verbaasd over de rust en stilte in de avond/nacht. Het verblijf is schoon en van alle benodigdheden voorzien. De gastvrouw is heel aardig, attent en flexibel. In het verblijf ligt materiaal over bezienswaardigheden, cafés en restaurants in de buurt. We hebben genoten van de rust en de warmte van het verblijf en de gastronomie en de cultuur van de omgeving, echt top! We komen graag nog een keertje terug.
