Landgoed Hoeve Springendal

Nature, silence and an ancient landscape

Nature, silence and an ancient landscape with geese, ducks, chickens, peacocks, goats, sheep, pigs, Scottish Highlanders and draft horses. In the brook valley with its springs, streams and slopes, special plants such as orchids and marsh marigolds bloom and grow. Rye and oats with blue cornflowers and fragrant chamomile bloom again on the ash. There are also several rare birds such as the Common Kingfisher and the Red-backed Shrike and the Corn Crake has even been spotted here. And then you can also spend the night here.

Above the granary in the yard, two beautiful B&B rooms have been created. The first is a loft with a large balcony overlooking the yard and the Beekdal. In the other room you sleep on the loft, with skylights that give a view of the starry sky, while the other windows look out on the ancient oak. Of course, each room has its own bathroom with free-standing bath or large shower and every possible modern comfort has been thought of. Breakfast is ready for you in the room below.

In the nostalgic farmhouse, divided over the ground floor and the first floor, there are five lovely apartments for two or four people, one of which is pet-friendly. Modernly furnished and complete with a living room with sitting and dining area, well-equipped open kitchen, bathroom with shower, sink, separate toilet and a private terrace or loggia.

In the old granary - or on the terrace if the weather permits - is a restaurant where you can go for lunch or dinner or for a piece of homemade apple pie with coffee.

Landgoed Hoeve Springendal Hezingen, Overijssel

Anyone who does not like nature is simply out of place here. Because around the yard is an ancient nature reserve with springing springs and the quietly rippling Brunninkhuizerbeek and the farm is located in the middle of the Springendal nature reserve, a stone's throw from the German border and 4.5 kilometers from the picturesque town of Ootmarsum. De Hoeve is located in the municipality of Tubbergen, surrounded by numerous large and small nature reserves.

History

An ancient landscape and an old moraine where one and the same family has lived and worked for centuries: the Brunninkhuis family. It could hardly be more striking, because the meaning of the family name is 'house at the sources'. The first settlement was already inhabited here before the year 1500 and after many generations this place has slowly but surely changed into the current Landgoed Hoeve Springendal. Over the centuries, a lot has been rebuilt and added and the farm was gradually opened up to guests.
