Zwolle offers an abundance of history and culture, more than enough culinary options—restaurants come in all shapes and sizes—and plenty of entertainment. It is wonderful to walk and cycle in nature outside the city and on the floodplains of the IJssel, and golfers will also find plenty to enjoy here. Close to the house is a farm shop that is within walking distance; here you can buy eggs, beef, juices, fruit, ice cream, and other treats.

The Koetshuis is located near the IJssel, which can be reached by both bicycle and on foot. Years ago, the land on which the house stands was still used as cornfields. Together with the nearby Golf Garden, the agricultural land has been given a new purpose, creating a beautiful estate surrounded by greenery. The golf course is located next to the estate, where you can play 9 holes without a GVB (Golf Proficiency Certificate). Within cycling distance are, among other things, the Hattem ferry; the Uiterwaarden; the Zandhoven forest with the Oude Mars and various estates; castles and museums.
