The homestead is surrounded by farmlands and the guest house also looks spacious. The farm is located between Kerkwerve and the old monumental city of Zierikzee with its beautiful and cozy harbour. The wooded Schuddebeurs is three kilometers away. About 10 minutes by car from the farm is the "kop van Schouwen" where beautiful beaches, surrounded by extensive dunes and forest, adorn the horizon. The seaside resorts of Renesse and Burgh-Haamstede offer fun and entertainment here. Cyclists and hikers will get their money's worth here and there is a good chance that you will come face to face with a pack of fallow deer or roe deer. The Bruinisse golf club "Grevelingenhout" with an 18-hole course is 15 minutes away. Zeeland is located in the southwest of the Netherlands. Well known for its extensive beaches, beautiful dune areas and the most hours of sunshine. Every year millions of tourists from home and abroad visit this small 'land in the sea', which is connected by dikes, tunnels and bridges. Where peace, space and fresh air provide new energy. From relaxation to (water) sports, from gastronomy to culture - there is something for everyone.Experience the ultimate holiday feeling here on the coast.
HistoryEverything on this Schouwse homestead from 1879 is still fairly authentic. Which may be called a minor miracle. Because although the flood of 1953 also destroyed much on this island, this barn and house miraculously survived the disaster. The guest rooms are located in the old weatherboard barn, where the small livestock used to have their place. The hay and straw lay neatly on top of the attic, where the bedrooms are now.
Super!
