Hof van Vervoering

3 guestrooms

These are the highlights

  • The rooms are located in the former post office.

  • Every detail in the house tells a story — old and new intertwined and beautifully balanced.

  • You won’t forget the breakfast that awaits you here in a hurry.

Hof van Vervoering features three guest rooms, and rest assured, they are truly impressive. They are located in the former post office of ’s Gravenvoeren, a historic building that has stood in the heart of the village center for centuries and is surrounded by the greenery of the Voer region.

Every room exudes tranquility and elegance. Furnished with natural materials, soft tones, and a mix of modern design and English chic. Nothing here is standard. Very high-quality beds, refined bedding, luxury towels and bath accessories, a range of other high-quality amenities (digital television and Netflix, personal safe, minibar, coffee maker with capsules, kettle, and free coffee and tea), a surprising welcome, and an exquisite breakfast make your stay an exceptionally beautiful and unique experience. Behind the estate is a private car park that connects directly to walking routes. Motorcyclists and cyclists can leave their vehicles safely and sheltered.

Surroundings

Hof van Vervoering is situated right in the charming center of ’s Gravenvoeren and is surrounded by the varied nature of the Voer region, with gently rolling hills, ancient forests, and winding brooks. In summer, the air shimmers above the fields; in winter, a subdued silence hangs in the air. Cities such as Liège, Maastricht, Aachen, Tongeren, and Hasselt are nearby.

Veerle Reekmans

Hof van Vervoering is housed in a historic building steeped in history, from where the horse-drawn stagecoach between Aachen and Liège once set off. Relying solely on her intuition, Veerle Reekmans took the plunge when she purchased this centuries-old post house in the heart of the Voer region. The restoration was carried out with respect for the past, yet with an eye to modern comfort. And so Hof van Vervoering was born: a luxurious bed and breakfast where Veerle found her calling and where English boutique elegance meets Limburg warmth.

The city of Liège is known for its museums, street art(!), brilliant restaurants and loads of lovely cafés.

As Belgium’s oldest city, Tongeren has plenty to offer: museums, shops, outdoor cafés, pubs and restaurants, and, of course, the Sunday antiques market.

Hasselt – aptly known as the ‘city of taste’ – is compact, cosy, brimming with restaurants and cafés, surprisingly green, and offers a mix of culture, shopping and good food.
