  • The gîtes are situated in the castle, which has a history stretching back many centuries. Together, they can accommodate 50 guests.

Speaking of the ideal vacation spot: Château Cortils stands on a very old, seventy-six hectare, monumental estate in the middle of the Land of Herve. Forty-five hectares are used as pasture for the horses and sheep and duck farming. There is 15 hectares of forest and more than eighty species of flora and fauna. Tranquility and nature can be enjoyed to the full and walkers can enjoy themselves.

The atmospheric castle offers seven delightful gîtes, which offer space for 50 guests in total. That makes Château Cortils not only the ideal address for a weekend or week for two or with friends or family (the gîtes are equipped for two to twelve people), but also for groups - especially for groups The Coach House is available with two beautiful dining rooms, a professional kitchen and a multifunctional inner garden.

The interior of the gîtes is authentic and many elements of the past (such as floors, fireplaces, paneling, doors and windows and ceilings) were beautifully preserved. The Bordes residence (up to eight people) forms the heart of all this splendor and covers the entire ground floor of the castle. Here you can eat up to 23 people together. The view of the park around is beautiful. The other six gîtes are divided over the other rooms in the castle, the Orangery and the Guest House. The beds guarantee a good night's rest, bathrooms are complete, kitchens are well furnished and salons and dining rooms are attractive.

Receptie

‘Château Cortils literally crossed our path during a walk. Now, several years later, we are seeing that initial impulse come to fruition. This estate has the potential to contribute in many ways to the very essence of our existence: to help people and nature recharge, and to allow every visitor to discover themselves in complete safety and beauty, within a sheltered, historic setting.’ So say the founders of Château Cortils, Boudewijn Laugs and Constance Cox.
