This Inn has eight rooms. All the rooms are unique and have a private bathroom, wireless internet and a Nespresso machine. Four rooms are equipped with a kitchenette (not suitable to cook). Many of the rooms have a view of the ocean.
The lounge serves tea/coffee with cake or a glass of wine with oysters. If you want to enjoy fresh products from the Norman country with a lovely view on the ocean, then the restaurant is the place to be. The menu put together by chef Amir (he and his partner Natasja are both Dutch), is modest but changes regularly. This way he can make the most of the seasonal supply.
With good weather, reservations are made on the spacious terrace that looks out over the ocean. There is also a beautiful garden.
Surroundings
On the cliffs of the beautiful, northern French Normandy, right next to Dieppe, lies the lovely beachfront village Puys. The sea and the air change color every day. One can look for mussels and prawn on the beach. Picturesque coastal towns like Dieppe, Mers les Bains, Etretat, Honfleur and the elegant Deauville are easily accessible.
History
Auberge du Vieux Puits is from the 1850's and has recently been renovated. As a result the Inn offers all modern comfort.

The host
When the Dutchman Amir van Rooyen saw this auberge, he was – quite understandably! – immediately smitten. After the necessary renovation and painting work, the rooms were furnished with second-hand finds from the local area, and Amir tied on his chef’s apron. It wasn’t just his guests but also the local residents who came to appreciate his culinary skills. It was therefore a great honour when Michelin joined his growing band of admirers.
