This farmstead, a listed building, dates from the early 1600s and is of the ‘hall house’ type: it features seven anchor-beam trusses with large entrance doors at the rear.

For a third and fourth guest in a lodge, there is a box bed – which, of course, has been fully adapted to modern standards.

In summer, the orchard with its fruit trees is a lovely place to spend time.
There are three lodges (up to 4 persons) with plenty of privacy, providing all possible luxury on a self catering basis. Each lodge has a living/dining room with fully installed kitchen, a spacious bedroom with a modern box bed and a private terras. The bathrooms have a rain shower and/or bath. Two of the bathrooms even have an infrared sauna.
For nice days there are (sun) terraces.
Surroundings
On the other side of the guest quarters the woods of national park "Het Dwingelderveld" (the largest area of wet heath land in Europe) start. Dwingeloo has a fabulous village green, pleasant terraces and restaurants and the ‘Astron’ star observatory. Various golf courses are available for golfers.

This farmstead, a listed building with an outbuilding, dates from the early 1600s and is of the ‘hall house’ type: the building has seven anchor-beam trusses with a ‘baander’ (large entrance doors) at the rear. The renovation, which was completed in 2012, took the building’s characteristic historical features into account. For example, the trusses were restored, the stable windows were brought back to their former glory, box beds were reinstalled, and a new traditional Drenthe-style barn was built in the farmyard.Â
