The bright and comfortable guesthouse is detached and is stylishly renewed. It is exclusivly rented to one group. The guesthouse offers splendid rooms to at most six persons. Groot Kahool is surrounded by a large garden wich quaranties privacy.
The house has an ample living with open kitchen, hall and modern bathroom with bathing-tub. There are two double  bedrooms (one downstairs and one on the first floor) and a third bedroom on the entresol.
Surroundings
Close to the dike of the Frisian ,Waddensea, Groot Kahool towers stately above the flat Frisian countryland. In the winter great numbers of wild goose populate the land and also for the rest of the year this is pre-emintly the place where all kinds of birds (of passage) feel home. The extensive area around Groot Kahool is very suitable for a long walk. Leeuwarden and Dokkum are nearby and one can easily undertake day-trips to the Frisian islands Ameland and Schiermonnikoog.
History
This authentic, kop-hals-romp,-head-neck-thrunk, farmhouse with characteristic coach-house may be appreciated as amonument of stature. Groot Kahool was already built in 1783 although it has recently been restaured, the building still has the same authenticity of the old time. Particulary because it is surrounded by a moat. The very old orchard lies in a park-like garden.
