Are you up for a stay on an estate on the edge of the beautiful forests of Olterterp-Lauswolt near Beetsterzwaag? In this historic farmhouse from 1762, you can choose from two holiday accommodations. Both are spacious and cozy, furnished with an eye for detail and equipped with all modern conveniences.
Lodge 1 is a historic apartment for 1 to 2 people. Located at the back of the farmhouse, with a private entrance, modern kitchen, comfortable bedroom, and luxury bathroom. Lodge 2 occupies an entire house for 1 to 5 people. Cozy and stylish, and exemplary of the atmosphere you can expect in authentic Fryslân. With 3 bedrooms, a spacious kitchen, and a living room with a fireplace.
With the forest as your backyard and beautiful walking and cycling routes in the immediate vicinity, as well as charming villages and towns nearby, this is the ideal place to relax and get out and about.
Surroundings
From your front door, you step straight into the forest where picturesque nature awaits. You will find beautiful landscapes just around the corner from your accommodation. Green avenues of beech and oak separate the varied forests, heathlands, parks, and fens. And then there is the Koningsdiep. Beetsterzwaag is just around the corner, and Drachten is nearby.

The host
With wooden beams as thick as elephant’s legs, this farmhouse has weathered a great deal of history. Built in 1762, it served as a home for farmers right up until the Second World War. After the war, the mayor of Opsterland moved into the front part of the farmhouse with his family. The rear part was occupied by the local vet, and is now home to a flat.
