Boutique Hotel Beekhuizen

21 Lodges and (junior) suites

These are the highlights

  • In 1874, Hotel Beekhuizen, built in the Swiss chalet style, first opened its doors to guests. And from 2020, it will be doing so once again.

  • The bakery, where you can also enjoy your breakfast, is the ideal spot for spotting kingfishers.

  • The woods literally start right on your doorstep here, and a walk takes you along the Beekhuizense stream to the large pond with its small waterfall.

Casual hospitality and pleasant luxury; those are the key words for this characteristic boutique on the Beekhuizen estate. And with the monumental nature of the Veluwezoom National Park and the center of Arnhem just ten minutes away, it is also more than ideal in terms of location. You spend the night in one of the 21 festive lodges and (junior) suites, which without exception are spacious in design, offer plenty of privacy for everyone and are divided between the main building and the gatehouse. Some suites and lodges have a balcony, others a private terrace.

The bathrooms are equipped with a (double) rain shower and / or (free-standing) bath, jacuzzi or steam shower and the lodges also have an open kitchen. The decor is also charming and atmospheric and in harmony with the nature around and furthermore the sleeping comfort is top and all possible modern comfort is standard.

The bakery is the place where you will be received. It is also the place where you will be served a delicious breakfast - brought to your room or "to go" on request. Also a good glass of wine by the wood stove or a cappuccino in the conservatory by the stream - also the place to spot kingfishers - are possible in the bakehouse.

The forest here literally starts at the front door, where a short walk takes you downstream along the Beekhuizen stream to the large pond with small waterfall.

Surroundings

You are in the middle of the Veluwezoom National Park - a 5,000-hectare park with a varied landscape full of hills, unspoilt forests, heaths, sand drifts and estates. That makes a stay at Hotel Beekhuizen the ideal place for those looking for peace and want to enjoy nature while walking or cycling. And that is only a ten-minute drive from the center of Arnhem, where you can also discover everything in the cultural and culinary field.

History

In 1662 the Beekhuizen estate was added to the old Estate and Biljoen Castle. In the eighteenth century, a very innovative and romantic park layout was started for that time. This gives the estate international fame. In 1874, Hotel Beekhuizen, built in Swiss chalet style, opens its doors to guests. From 2020 you can spend the night again at this historic place.
