Groot Okhorst is an historical farm classified as a national monument. The earliest reference to the property dates from 1540. Between 2007 and 2015 the farm was fully renovated and finished with timeless interior design aspects.

The owner, Femme, is the founder of the tech website Tweakers. In 2007, he realised his long-cherished dream of living in a historic farmhouse. He works four days a week in Amsterdam as a designer and also develops smart solutions for energy management in buildings. His wife, Leonie, runs a singing coaching practice and manages Logies Groot Okhorst. Both of them have their roots in the Achterhoek region.
