B&B for 2

These are the highlights

  • On this centuries-old estate, surrounded by greenery, you can enjoy nature – and, of course, each other’s company – to your heart’s content.

  • There’s a swimming pond for sunny days.

  • B&B guests can order a well-stocked breakfast basket.

A delightful B&B, situated on a centuries-old estate in the heart of Brabant’s countryside, where you can enjoy nature and each other’s company to your heart’s content. Walking, cycling or swimming in the swimming pond: it’s all possible here.

The B&B is housed in the estate’s former bakery and offers a romantic getaway for two. On the ground floor is the dining area with a wood-burning stove and a seating area. In the basement is the bedroom with the bathroom, as well as the kitchen. When the weather’s fine, you can settle into the lounge chairs in your own orchard, and although you’re welcome to cook for yourselves if you fancy it, you can also order a well-stocked breakfast basket.

Alphen, North Brabant

Nature lovers will be in their element on this estate, as there is plenty to see and do here. The village to which the estate belongs is situated between Riel and Baarle-Nassau and close to Tilburg and Breda, meaning that culture and entertainment are also on offer for those who wish to enjoy them.

The history of De Hoevens dates back to the Bronze and Iron Ages (c. 1700–100 BC), whilst its recorded history begins in 1204. Since the early 20th century, the estate has been owned by the Blomjous family, with the third generation now at the helm. The current generation has chosen to manage and develop the estate sustainably, with love and care for nature. The results speak for themselves!

Breda is a friendly, indulgent, historic and lively city without being overly crowded. It has a lovely atmosphere, plenty of outdoor cafés, pretty streets and a laid-back Brabant vibe.
