Heuvel Suites

Hill suites can be found above the Italian restaurant Vicino on what is perhaps the most beautiful square in Brabant. Three unique suites spread over the first and attic floors. All three are a nice mix between classic and design, equipped with every possible modern comfort - king-size beds, a seat, TV, minibar, air conditioning, coffee and tea making facilities - and very spacious, with the loft suite of no less than 60m2 as the showpiece.

To start with the latter, you will immediately be surprised by the round shapes, the vistas and the old wooden beam construction. The freestanding bath can be found behind the round walls. There is also a spacious sitting area with a large sofa and luxurious armchairs, a large dining table and a super-king size bed. In addition to the bath, the bathroom also has a luxurious walk-in shower and separate toilet. The washbasins with columns are uniquely made for this suite and are set in a 3 meter long elm washbasin top. The suite is ideal as a bridal suite, for families or for a special weekend away. The suite offers space for four people.

The location differs per suite. For example, the King-Suite (35m²) has three huge windows that look out over the beautiful and recently restored Heuvelplein, while the Junior-Suite (30m²) is quietly located at the rear.

Surroundings

Oosterhout was already a good place to be with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. But there was not yet a boutique hotel. De Heuvel, the square where you will stay, is one of the most beautiful squares in Brabant and has recently been completely renovated. It is surrounded by many old buildings, including the old town hall (partly made of the stones of the old castle Slot Bosch), an old cinema, now a restaurant and formerly the post office and cultural center H19. Behind it is the old city park with age-old trees and around the corner the Binnenhofje with various boutiques that are located in the broken nave of a former church. And then we haven't even talked about the nature around.

History

The building where you will find Heuvelsuites used to be the pharmacy. This is reflected in the snake on the red door of the entrance. Where the suites are now on the first floor were the offices and packing rooms for the medicines that were made in the attic. The medicines were brought down via the service elevator, which has been renovated. In the attic was a gigantic air purifier that was removed during the renovation, exposing the beautiful beam construction behind it - and now defining the face of the loft suite.
