Villa de Hazelaar is within walking distance of the center of Schoorl and has eleven rooms. Each room has a different layout, dimensions and atmosphere.

There are comfort rooms, comfort rooms with terrace and studios that are also suitable for a longer stay. However, facilities such as luxury bathrooms, comfortable box spring beds, WiFi, Smart TV, LED lighting and ClimaRad ventilation are standard. In addition, all rooms have a beautiful view of pasture, forest and dunes.

Surroundings

Schoorl, perhaps the friendliest village on the North Holland coast, has the highest and widest dunes in the country. Mountain bikers can indulge themselves here. Just as good as cyclists and walkers. Because it is not for nothing that Schoorl is a National Park with more than sixty kilometers of hiking trails that lead through heathland, through forests, along the bird lake and over the sometimes five kilometer wide dunes. De Kerf is also unique: a natural cove in the dunes where seawater can flow in at high tide, so that the green woodpecker and the rare nightjar feel very much at home here and white orchids bloom everywhere in the summer months. In addition to all that natural beauty, cities such as Alkmaar, Schagen and Hoorn are easily accessible. In addition, the famous artists' village of Bergen with its numerous shops and restaurant and terraces is just three kilometers away.

Hospitality is in Villa de Hazelaar’s DNA, as city children were already being looked after here after the war – to regain their strength and recover. From the late 1960s onwards, the villa then served as a small-scale care home, run by ‘Sister’ de Jager – the mother of the current hotelier, Ans de Jager. In 2019, the villa reopened as a boutique hotel.
