In the fall of 2019, B&B Saenliefde opened with four large, beautiful rooms in an ancient warehouse and overlooking the water or the garden. Equipped with every possible comfort up to and including first class hotel linen, luxury towels and bathrobes. One room is suitable for a family so equipped for its four. The remaining three rooms are equipped for two guests. Of course there is a private bathroom with all the trimmings for each room and also extremely comfortable extra-long beds, a hotel safe and pantry with fridge, coffee maker, kettle & crockery.
In addition, a sitting, dining and / or writing corner has been created and one of the rooms also has its own terrace. You can enjoy breakfast in the breakfast room on the ground floor where you can choose from fresh rolls, ham and cheese from the Beemster, jam and fruit from the farmer, freshly squeezed orange juice, Illy coffee or tea, an egg dish of your choice and a muesli buffet.
Surroundings
Plenty to do and experience at B&B Saenliefde! Culture, nature, city, polder, water, sea and beaches; it's all available here. You will find museums, restaurants, shops and all other entertainment in the Zaan region and cities such as Alkmaar, Purmerend, Edam, Volendam and of course Amsterdam.
But the Zaanse Schans and the beaches of Wijk aan Zee or Castricum are just a stone's throw away.
The host
The host
The Riga Warehouse (dating from 1680) consists of 13 trusses spaced at varying intervals. The warehouse was built to store oilseeds for the adjacent mill and later served as a store for the steam-powered oil factory located further down the road. The pine roof structure, with its 17th-century oak curved beams, remains almost entirely intact. The current owners, Margreet and Ronald, have converted the old warehouse into a B&B with every modern comfort one could wish for.
