Fields, sheep in the meadow and an old farmhouse with three country apartments for two guests. That is what you can imagine at Het Heerengoedt in the beautiful Twentse Ambt Delden. The apartments are on the floor where the hayloft once was and are equipped with a complete kitchen, sitting area with TV, air conditioning and bathroom with separate bath. A spiral staircase leads to the sleeping floor where an extra long box spring guarantees a good night's sleep.
Outside in the garden, the terrace is ready for you as soon as the weather permits. The apartments are self catering. You can choose from several restaurants in the area.
Surroundings
Bicycle tours lead past Twente castles, to the Twickel estate or the sawmill or to Enschede, Hengelo and Almelo. Walking routes take you to the umfassungsweg with the beautiful boardwalk. After a day in Twente you can prepare a meal in your apartment. Those who prefer to eat out can go to various restaurants in Delden.
History
When looking for a suitable name for their country apartments, the owners delved into the regional archives. There they found out that their farm was a 'heerenguett' or gentleman's farm around 1579, which means that the gentleman farmer had enough servants to not have to work himself. The farm was substantially renovated to accommodate the apartments. Old details remained intact.
