These are the highlights

  • Owing to its historical value and distinctive appearance, the estate farm is a listed building and was named ‘Farm of the Year 2000’.

  • From the living room, you have a wonderful view over the estate, and you can step straight out onto the covered veranda and the spacious terrace, where the sun loungers are already set out.

  • Subject to agreement, a spacious bedroom with an en-suite bathroom is available for a third and fourth guest in the historic main building of the estate farm.

You will find a spacious living room with a lovely sitting area around the pleasant gas stove and a kitchen with all the trimmings to cook a nice meal if you feel like it. The master bedroom has a comfortable double bed and adjacent is the spacious bathroom with bath, walk-in shower and separate toilet. To complete the great comfort, the entire guesthouse has underfloor heating. From the living room you have a beautiful view over the estate and you can step into the covered veranda and the spacious terrace where the sun loungers are also ready.

The estate itself is also worth a visit with a castle, monuments, forests, nature reserves, avenues and timber canals. While walking you come across grazing sheep, horses and cows. Just like a colorful collection of birds and a deer from time to time. The guesthouse is furnished for just the two of you. In consultation, two extra sleeping places are available in a spacious bedroom with adjoining bathroom in the historic main building of the estate farm.

The house is on a self-catering basis, but everything is available for the first day of breakfast.

History

Hidden between centuries-old oak trees, diagonally opposite Maarsbergen Castle, is the monumental estate farm 'De Cruijvoort'. Due to its historical value and characteristic appearance, it is a national monument and declared "Farm of the year 2000". De Cruijvoort has a rich history of more than four centuries. In 1982 Ineke and Erik Somsen came to live here. For years they have rebuilt, renovated and restored. They maintain this historical heritage with care, love and respect and give you the opportunity to enjoy it.
