Logement Swaenenvecht is a B&B in a luxurious mansion. Situated very close to the city of Utrecht and on the river Vecht. You can choose from nine stylish and special rooms, of which five large suites. Each room with its own historical details. Modern comforts and a private bathroom are standard. The décor is English, antiques, warm. The suites have a sleeping area and a tastefully decorated living room. In the cosy room downstairs you can enjoy a luxury breakfast.
The adjacent Bistro Belle serves coffee and cake, a delicious lunch or a cosy dinner. In summer diner is served on the terraces (one on the water and one with a view of the Castle). Swaenenvecht also features two superb meeting rooms that are ideal for business conferences for groups up to 12 people.
Surroundings
Swaenenvecht is located on the water and close to the city of Utrecht. Behind the hotel lies the castle museum Slot Zuylen. The medieval castle was converted into a country house in the 18th century. There are all kinds of activities.
History
Guest House Swaenenvecht is located in a historic building with the same name and is a national as well as a local monument. The building consists of separate parts that were built during different periods. The front gable on the left has a step-gable from the renaissance period. On the right side the building has a cornice from the 19th century, which is plastered gray.At the top of the facade a plaque can be seen with two fighting swans and the text “Swaenen-Vecht”. The step-gable is decorated with spheres and cover plates. The right side of the house is younger. It dates from the first quarter of the 19th century and has six sliding windows on the side of the Vecht. Later another construction was added on the backside. The interior of the building is very complex. It has exceptionally many different levels and an entresol in the 17th century part.

This building certainly has a rich history. It consists of separate sections, built at different times. For example, the front façade features a left-hand section with a stepped gable dating from the Renaissance, whilst the right-hand side of the building has a cornice façade from the 19th century. There are so many remarkable details that you won’t know where to look first.
