B & B 't Poorthuys is located in a beautiful national monument in the historic heart of Middelburg. You can choose from eight comfortable rooms (with of course a private bathroom), which are spread over the first and second floor. All possible comfort is present. The box springs ensure an excellent night's sleep, there is wifi, digital TV and radio and in the summer air conditioning. A Nespresso machine is also included as standard. The deluxe suites also have a seating area.
The rooms are tastefully decorated.. With an eye for detail and respect for the old monumental style. Everything that Middelburg has to offer awaits you from the front door. For example, you can choose from restaurants that range from simple to renowned.
Surroundings
Middelburg has been voted one of the three nicest cities in the Netherlands. All that cosiness, including sights, restaurants and bars are within walking distance of the B&B. Moreover, this unique place is the perfect starting point for discovering the city and the vast beaches and characteristic villages on Walcheren.
History
Bed & Breakfast ’t Poorthuys is located in a beautiful National Monument from around 1530, which previously served as a doctor's home. The building is located in the Koepoortstraat in the middle of the old monumental center of Middelburg. 'T Poorthuys was completely renovated in 2013 into a luxurious and atmospheric Bed & Breakfast.
