Buitenplaats Op Hodenpijl
Loft for 2
These are the highlights
-
This 17th-century estate is known for its spiritual and cultural church, which hosts various talks and concerts.
-
It is also home to Honey Highway, an initiative aimed at restoring nature and biodiversity in the Netherlands through wild bees.
-
And then there’s the organic restaurant where you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner.
In a unique location amidst the expansive polders of Midden-Delfland, where silence whispers and history breathes, Buitenplaats Op Hodenpijl awaits: a 17th-century estate with thriving organic gardens, buzzing bees, and the aroma of freshly baked bread and herbs from the garden. The estate is known for its spiritual and cultural church, which hosts a program of lectures and concerts. It is also home to Honey Highway, which aims to restore nature and biodiversity to the Netherlands through the use of wild bees. And then there's the delightful organic restaurant where you can indulge in organic coffee and tea with homemade sweet and savory treats, and where a delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner are also served.
But the real highlight here is the Farmhouse Loft, which is royally and cozily furnished for two. It features a fully equipped kitchen, a lovely bedroom, a bathroom, a sitting area, and a dining area. You can prepare your own breakfast, or you can, of course, enjoy it in the estate's restaurant.
It goes without saying that you can comfortably explore and experience everything the estate has to offer from your loft. At Buitenplaats Op Hodenpijl, you can also hold meetings to your heart's content. The garden room, the suites, and the coach house are available for rent.
Surroundings
Speaking of an ideal location: you're surrounded by nature and nestled among the expansive polders of Midden-Delfland, near Delft. This means cycling along the canals with their kerbstones, along country lanes lined with historic farmhouses, and through charming villages. Midden Delfland Golf Course (pay & play) is also right next door, and The Hague and Rotterdam are also easily accessible.
History
The history of this estate dates back to the 17th century, and the various historic buildings on the estate each have their own unique story. Over the centuries, construction and renovations have been ongoing, and to this day, preserving all the beauty of the past for future generations remains a life's work.
