A beautiful domain consisting of an ancient castle, a huge park and all kinds of outbuildings including B&B rooms and holiday homes? There is indeed plenty to choose from at the Lozer Castle, but whatever you choose, you are assured of quality and comfort and you will not lack space and atmosphere.
In the outbuildings of the castle you can spend the night in royal four-star rooms that have a beautiful view of the pond and the park. There are five rooms in total. All different and very individual, but each with a bathroom with shower and/or bath and hairdryer, luxurious beds, minibar, safe, heating and air conditioning, electric kettle with tea and coffee maker, microwave and flat screen TV. One room can accommodate up to four people, the others offer ample space for two guests.
In the morning, a delicious breakfast buffet awaits you with fresh fruit juice, hot drinks, bread and an assortment of cakes, fresh eggs, cheese, homemade jam, yogurt, fresh fruit and salmon. A packed lunch will be prepared for you upon request.
In addition to the B&B rooms, there are also three super luxurious holiday homes that are equipped with every possible comfort. The Lodge is homely and offers space for up to eight people. La Laiterie offers historic charm and space for up to six people and Het Bakhuis is the nostalgic retreat of the domain and equipped for four people.
To complete the great enjoyment, there is also a wonderful sauna. Finally, the Neerhof is ideally equipped for all possible events and parties.
Surroundings
The journey goes to rural Kruisem, which is centrally located between Ghent and Kortrijk. There is plenty to see and experience on the domain itself. In addition, there are plenty of worthwhile sights and activities in the immediate area and you can enjoy endless walking and cycling. Gastronomers can choose from various (star) restaurants nearby.
History
This beautiful castle estate has been owned by the della Faille d'Huysse family since 1654. Only after renovations in the 18th century did the castle acquire its current neoclassical appearance. In addition to the castle, the gatehouse, coach house, courtyard, service buildings and a tower-shaped garden pavilion also belong to this domain. In the wooded castle park (13 hectares) you will find several large ponds. From the castle grounds, a double driveway leads to the Church of Our Lady of Assistance.
