Hofstede de Stamper

5 guest rooms and a studio for 4

These are the highlights

  • Hofstede De Stamper dates back to the 17th century and is situated just outside Damme in the ‘Stampaertshoucke’, from which the farm takes its name.

  • A handy tip: if you want to hire a bike, it will be delivered to your property and collected from there too.

  • A rustic menu featuring meat from Blonde d’Aquitaine cattle and Charolais lambs from our own farm, prepared by your host, is available as an option.

Unassuming and real. That is Hofstede De Stamper. There are five authentic guest rooms for 2 persons, complete with bathroom and toilet. There is also a studio for 4 that includes a kitchen and bathroom. Internet and parking is free.

Your hostess can provide dining service on a reservation basis, with delights such as Blonde d'Aquitaine beef and Charolais lamb from our own farm to appease the palate.

Surroundings

Under this vast Flemish sky, the "ciel flamand" of which Jacques Brel once so beautifully sang, there is much to enjoy. The farm is located just outside Damme. Nearby are the towers of Bruges and Ghent, the beaches of Knokke, the polders, the Damme Book Market, and Bruges flea markets. You can go for a stroll or a bike ride in the Zwin nature reserve.

Hofstede De Stamper is situated in the Flemish polder landscape and is a place to unwind and feel at home. Simple and authentic. As well as being a B&B, De Stamper is an active working farm. Alongside the sheep and around thirty oxen, the Brabant draught horses Olga and Martha graze in the meadows surrounding the farm.
