Surroundings
The area is wooded and hilly and there are plenty of walking and cycling opportunities. Rijk van Nijmegen golf course and the center of that city are nearby. The Africa museum and Roman aqueduct are worth a visit. There are restaurants in all price ranges. But the city of Nijmegen is also within reach.  The German city of Kleve is approximately a 20-minute drive away
History
The National Heritage Monumental Villa Dalhof tells a story of the past. The building was built in 1919 in the new historicizing style just outside the center of Berg en Dal. The village was to grow in the second half of the nineteenth century into a villa village of allure. Many well-to-do people, including Old Indians, settled here and in the nearby villages of Beek and Ubbergen, attracted by nature and the nearby city of Nijmegen. Exactly 100 years later, Villa Dalhof opens its doors as a B&B.
