Hotel het Oude Raadhuis is situated in the heart of Castricum, close to the dunes and the beach. There are eight hotel rooms and one suite. Guests can also enjoy a delicious breakfast in the Grand Café on the ground floor. The rooms are spread across the first, second and third floors. Six rooms are suitable for two people and there are two rooms for three people. All these spacious rooms are unique and have an en-suite bathroom with a shower, toilet and washbasin. A TV and free Wi-Fi are provided as standard. The romantic Tower Rooms are on the third floor. Due to the staircases, these rooms are not suitable for guests with reduced mobility (as the building’s listed status means that a lift is not an option). The Suite is also suitable as a family room, accommodating up to four people. It features a luxurious bathroom with a double shower and bath.Â
Castricum, North Holland
Castricum is situated on the edge of the wooded North Holland Dune Reserve, next to a quiet North Sea beach. Surfers, swimmers, sunbathers, cyclists and walkers can all enjoy themselves here. The village boasts a wide selection of shops and several excellent restaurants, such as ’t Eethuysje, La Trattoria and Johanna’s Hof. In nearby Bakkum, you’ll find the one-Michelin-starred restaurant Apicius.
History
In this beautiful historic building, now a listed monument, the grandeur of bygone centuries has been preserved, whilst modern comforts have been incorporated.
